Providence Wins! Blessed beyond belief!

Once again, Providence wins!  Even in my doubts and confusion, God has provided beyond my needs.  Tomorrow I get to "exchange" leases, and by the end of the day on Saturday, I'll be in my new apartment!  So blessed to have good friends and family to support me and help me make it through the hard times.  I'm so blessed. Period.

Just Keep Trusting...

I feel a little like Dori today from Finding Nemo.  I don't know what's going on around me...I think I do, but then I realize I don't.  I think there's a plan, and I jump on the bandwagon, but then I find out that the plan isn't actually what I thought it was going to be.

Thankful for the fish around me who remind me to "Just Keep Trusting." I know God will provide, even if His provision is different from what I originally expected.  I'm still blessed, in spite of all the crazy that surrounds me.

Jesus' Call

Different, Drastic, Daily

That was the sermon in a nutshell today.  Definitely a good one, definitely convicting.

Are we willing to accept that we are Christ's because He first sought and called us?  That it is nothing we could do on our own initiative to chase Him?  That we can never make ourselves worthier in His eyes because our worth comes from Him. That He is ultimately concerned with us loving people and sharing the news (not the advice) of the gospel?

Are we willing to accept that God will call us to do things that are outside of our comfort zone?  That He will ask us time and again to do things we would never expect, throw situations our way that we cannot comprehend, but that will bring us closer to Himself?  That He should be the reason we live, love, and serve?

Are we willing to accept that we need to daily commit time and energy to relationship with Him?  That His love for us is jealous and He desires our whole hearts?  That our love for Him should outshine every other aspect of our lives?

Hard questions that deserve serious answers.  I know that mine aren't ones to be proud of in many cases.  Praise God that He is constantly drawing us closer to Himself and changing us into a closer image of His Son.

The Blessing of Friends

So blessed to have amazing friends and sisters in Christ.  I am so thankful for Susanna and her support and encouragement.  I really enjoyed spending time with her today.  It is always refreshing to spend time with a fellow believer who shares your convictions and can encourage you in your walk with Christ, and who can also commiserate with you on the struggles of living in our broken world.  Thank you, Susanna, but more importantly, thank You, Father for the blessing of your precious daughter in my life!

God's provision; My amazing sisters

Hard to believe everything God has worked out over the past few days.  In less than a week and a half from determining that I needed to move I may be already at a new apartment with very little effort on my own part.  God is so amazing, and I know that even if my current plans don't work out, He will provide something even better.  And, Lord willing, I'll still be able to go to Italy in June with Alfred.  So excited!!!

On a slightly related topic, I'm so blessed to have amazing sisters.  I cannot believe that Grace is going to be free and willing to come up and help me move next weekend!  It will be awesome to change a pretty awful day into one that will actually be fun!!!

On a pretty much completely unrelated topic, RITA IS 21 today!!!  I feel so old...  but I'm so proud of the woman she is becoming, and I know God will continue to use her to encourage and uplift all of the people around her.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY RITA BITA!

Thankful...

For the support of family and friends
For my Heavenly Father who will provide all of my needs
For only one more day left in the school week

For the opportunity to be reminded of all these things once again...

Trusting God through Trials

I don't know:

Who I could find to live with in the middle of winter, middle of the school year...
What the outcome of the housing dilemma will be...
When I'm would be able to find time to move...
Where I'll be living a few weeks from now...
Why God is allowing this trial to come my way...
How I'm going to find a place to live....
Whether I'll even be in Rock Hill after this school year...

I do know:

God loves me.
He knows my future.
I am prayerfully following His guidance.
He can and will give me what I need when I need it.
I can rest in His strength and peace.
Regardless of my circumstances, He wants what is best for me.
I can trust in His provision.
