I officially DO NOT like waking up early, especially not the first day back from a break. Sooo hard to get out from under the covers this morning!
Today was not as crazy at school as it could have been, but was still crazy nonetheless. Trying to get my students to wrap up writing projects begun before break as part of my unit that I have to turn in for my certification. Challenging for sure, but definitely nice to see how many have hidden talents for creative writing.
Grocery shopping today...went to Aldi to pick up some veggies for the warming center tomorrow as well as my normal groceries...totally forgot to actually get the veggies, so I had to stop by Food Lion on the way home to get them. oh well, at least it is done. Tutoring tonight my typical student didn't come so I was working with two third grade boys. Reminded once again of the value of competition for young boys! They were racing each other to complete worksheets (which I required them to let me check for accuracy). So amusing!
Then had the opportunity to video chat again with Jonathan tonight. Taking full advantage of the last two nights of his house sitting! But the good news is, when he is done there will only be 3 weeks left until I see him in person! Hooray!
