Spent the past day and evening before with family and friends. Such a blessing and encouragement!
Unfortunately, my brother's play was cancelled for Friday night, so I didn't see him perform his role as Mr. President in The Mouse That Roared, but I really enjoyed some family hang-out time on Friday evening. We played some games and just enjoyed one anothers' company.
Today, I was able to spend the afternoon with a wonderful friend, Meka, and also with my BFF Kristin :). I met Meka through Kristin, and I really enjoy the discussions we can have as teachers, sisters in Christ, and genuine friends. I always come away feeling like I learned something interesting or important. So thankful for the friendship of two strong, Godly women in my life!
This evening went to the rodeo with another friend's family. It was a different experience... Although I have been to a rodeo before, I definitely enjoyed this one more. However, to be truly honest, my enjoyment was completely based on the company I had rather than the actual rodeo events. Too many opportunities for injury=Janet worries about all the competitors. Thankfully I brought my knitting to help me keep my mind off such worrisome matters; however, I finished the entire project by intermission, which left me to watch the most dangerous part of all--bull riding--without the comfort of yarn to knit. Oh well, it was worth it. Plus, I got cold, so having my quick-and-easy cowl to put on was actually a benefit at that point!
Looking forward to another wonderful day of seeing good friends and encouraging one another in the Spirit. Praying that your Lord's Day is blessed and restful!
