Tasting to see

Last night, Jonathan challenged me to consider whether I was turning to God first with my hurt and struggles.  Was I boldly approaching the throne of grace when I needed help or first asking him to help or pray for me?  Upon reflection, I realized that sometimes I was not turning to God first on my own.  And that was definitely a well needed kick in the pants.

So, anyway, today was another crazy day at school. Better than yesterday, but still some kinks to iron out. On the way to work, the Lord brought a really encouraging Scripture to mind. Psalm 34:8 "Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him."

Meditating on this truth really did help a lot today for me to keep my perspective where it needs to be.  On God, on His perfect plan for my life, on my purpose to glorify Him. So, yeah.  Thankful it is Friday.  Thankful God is good.  Thankful for the opportunity to receive a rebuke and let God use it to impact the way I see life.
