This is my third year attending the Renaissance Festival in North Carolina. It is a fun time to wander around and watch all of the people dressed in period costumes, browse through the artisan shops, try on corsets, eat delicious food, watch performers do comedy and acrobatic routines, and just generally have a good time. It was really nice to be able to drive only a short way instead of an hour that morning.
Enjoyed the time. The morning was beautiful, though a little chilly, and I'm so very glad we chose to go in October this year before it got truly cold. We watched an acrobatic/comedy routine, a comedy routine with two women who dress up as "nuns," different musicians including a talented harpist, an aerialist, and a love-struck poet/peasant who recited some amusing poetry to Rita (including part of his grocery list ;-D ).
