SAFF!

Left shortly after 8:30 this morning for Asheville to go to SAFF.  Spent several hours wandering through all of the booths from the vendors looking at the beautiful yarn.  I didn't buy any until I had looked at everything.    I tried to chose yarns that were unique and beautiful but also reasonably priced.  I'm going to include pictures of the yarn (and yes, Jonathan's blanket is the backdrop for these...I was knitting in the car!)  I chose a skein of 100% alpaca fingering weight yarn (500 yards) dyed in a beautiful cranberry red.

Next, I picked an unusual yarn...50% yak down, 50% silk lace weight (400 yards) dyed  in a lovely turquoise.

Finally, after I had spent all of my allotted budget, I spotted this gorgeous emerald green yarn.  It was 50% mohair and 50% wool (400 yards worsted weight) .  Kristin bought it, I thought for herself, but then gave it to me.  Happy happy!

On the way home, we stopped by the Skytop Apple Orchard for apples, cider, and donuts. Yum!  What a lovely day!
