The Return of the Civic

Got my Civic back today, which was definitely exciting!  It looks much prettier, but unfortunately the window and locks are not working properly, so I will have to take it back on Tuesday.  However, it is still nice to have my car back.

Headed up to Cornelius, NC, to spend the night at a Clara's great-aunt's house before Clara, Rita, Angie, and I go to the Renaissance Festival tomorrow.  Looking forward to spending time with some lovely ladies, although I will miss being able to video chat with Jonathan tonight.

I was planning to head up right after school, but then I had to go pick up my car, which meant I wouldn't have been able to leave town until about 5:00 pm. As I was pulling out of the gas station from filling the tank in preparation for the journey, I heard a radio report on heavy traffic on I-77 North which was causing long delays.  Thus, I chose to stay in Rock Hill longer, finish packing and grading, and wait for the traffic to die down before leaving.  Finally left around 7:20, and arrived in Cornelius about an hour later.  Had an enjoyable meal and evening spent doing Clara's hair to be all pirate-y and catching up with the girls.  Girl time! :-)
