Currently uninspired...

Thus, I'll share an inspiration born before this blog.  I wrote the following song last year around December, totally inspired by the Spirit, and was blessed to be able to perform it during the Christmas Eve service with my sisters. Even though I consider it a "Christmassy" song, it speaks of the span of Christ's life on earth, and our response to this "good news" (gospel message) ... a theme we are currently studying at church here in Rock Hill.

Human and Holy

Jesus, born in a stall
So fragile and small
Both human and holy
Jesus, You left Your throne
Made our world Your home
Concealing your glory

(chorus)
Here’s my heart, I give You my all
On Your name I call
Lord, You are worthy
And I fall, kneel at Your feet
The one You redeemed
I’m so unworthy

Jesus, God’s only Son
In all that was done
You led a life perfect
Jesus, Your mercy displayed
Your love and Your grace
We did not deserve them

Jesus, nailed to a tree
Up on Calvary
You suffered rejection
Jesus, laid in a tomb
If only they knew
They buried perfection

Jesus, up from the grave
You rose and You save
All of your children
Jesus, ascended on high
We long for the time
We’ll join You in heaven

Jesus, new lives begin
Forgiven from sin
You give us Your Spirit
Jesus, Immanuel, King
Your praises we’ll sing
Until all can hear it

(chorus 2)
Hear our hearts, We give You our all
On Your name we call
Lord, You are worthy
And we fall, kneel at Your feet
The ones You redeemed
We’re so unworthy

Jesus, no matter what comes
Let Your will be done
Our joy is to serve
Jesus, as you help us grow
Your love we will show
Through actions and words
