Teacher Work Day!

Created by yours truly!  Because of moving last weekend, I have gotten so far behind on grading, planning, and other "teacherly" tasks; thus I took a personal day to be my own personal teacher work day to get caught up on everything!  As I sit and type this, I only have one more assignment to grade (which yes, I'm currently avoiding), but I'm so thankful for how productive this day has been.  For those of you who are not teachers, let me give you a little peak into the work involved for a work day.  I bet you never realized how much paperwork teachers have to do!

7:00 am get up, breakfast, check email, etc.
7:30 start working on ADEPT paperwork (due tomorrow! yikes!)
10:30 submit ADEPT paperwork
11:30 grading for 1st Social Studies class complete and entered
--quick lunch break--
12:00 start grading again
1:00 grading for 2nd Social Studies class complete and entered
2:45 grading for math class complete and entered
4:45 take a break from language arts grading (who wants to grade personal narratives anyway?) to go pick up all the work my students did today at school and grab dinner
5:30 back from errands, avoiding language arts grading so work on math and social studies from today
6:00 math and social studies complete and entered, back to language arts! (I hate grading personal narratives, by the way....)
8:30 all language arts grades completed and entered (with the exception of YET ANOTHER personal narrative assignment), take a break to blog
8:50 post blog, convince self to actually grade last batch of personal narratives

So thankful that I'll only have a couple of assignments from tomorrow to grade this weekend, and then get down to some hardcore planning!  Yep, in case you're wondering...teachers really don't have a life...but thanks for joining me for a little pity-party summary of my productive work day anyway!
