This morning began by waking up at the unholy hour of 6:30 to start prepping for the race. Then a lot of standing around waiting in the cold. Why did I not bring a jacket or think to check the temperature? I'm obviously nuts. Then running a 5K. Probably should have my head examined! But it was good to do it and for it to be forever DONE. Made a decent time, too (for me), just under 37 minutes.
Then went home and hung out for awhile. Enjoyed using Alfred's Ipad to check my email and look for Chacos online. Found a great deal on some for Aunt Jeanne...not so much for me. Oh well. I decided I really wanted them anyway, so I made plans to go to Anderson again (3rd time in 3 days, lol!) to buy the pair I had been ogling the day before. It became an expedition of the sisters and Aunt Jeanne and focused on buying/picking up birthday presents for Mom and purchasing Chacos for me. We also made it to Goodwill where Rita found some great bargains on clothes. But it was good and fun to spend time with them.
This evening was birthday celebration for Mom: corned beef, Yukon Gold baked potatoes, broiled asparagus, cheesecake...YUM! Watched her open a lot of cool presents, and of course Nicholas had to share in the moment as well and open some gifts early.
Went to bed again early because I'm still just so tired. But I guess that's life when you plan an insanely busy spring "break!"
