Fall-asleep Friday

Friday was the day when I really caught up on sleep.  I slept in until about 9:30, got up and had breakfast, and went back to bed for another 2 hours.  Almost 12 hours of sleep.  Pure bliss.

After lunch, Mom, Aunt Jeanne, and I went shopping.  Our main objective was to find clothing for the amazing shrinking mother, who had no clothes that still fit from last summer.  Go Mom!  We were able to find pretty much everything on her list, which was awesome.  I also found some capris which I needed for work and the summer in general, and they were decently priced, so that was a blessing.  Tried on Chacos for the first time...fell in LOVE!  Definitely need to get a pair for Italy.

We picked up Chinese from Master Wok on the way home.  It was a delicious meal, and great to share it with Grace who had been in school all week, and Jacob who came in for the weekend.  Then some time spent talking with Rachel, a dear friend that I had met at conferences over the years, and with whom I hadn't reconnected in almost a year.

Helped Dad for a little while to work on my old laptop (which he has since purchased from me and started tinkering with), and then went to bed exhausted at 10:30, drained and needing rest before the race tomorrow.
