Such a wonderful Journey Group tonight. Easy, no. Encouraging, yes.
I feel like as a group we're opening up and really starting to do life together on a new level; sharing the joys and fears, the hurt and the pain. Bearing one another's burdens, sharing our story of what God has done in our lives, lifting one another in prayer. This is what ecclesia is supposed to look like. Challenging, emotional, rewarding.
Even though I finished the worship study on Tuesday with little or no fanfare, and even though I don't feel a whole lot different personally, I know that God is at work in my life and the lives of those around me. Wish I understood better how I fit in His plan, but I know that ultimately He is sovereign. And, once again, I "got" more from JG than from all the preparation surrounding it. But the important part is that I did hear something. And that makes all the difference.
Praise God for my amazing JG family.
