Celebration/Shakespeare Sunday

Church was really good this morning.  It was one of those days where every aspect (music, sermon, fellowship) seems to be spoken right to you.  Like you're the only one listening.  God is so good.

Had a bunch of people over to celebrate my birthday lunch.  It was one of those things that just happen...invite a couple people and pretty soon you end up with a dozen or so!  But it was fun to share the time (and most excellent repast!) with church family and other friends.

Played Rummikub with Rita, Mom, and Jess before we left for the Shakespeare in the Park.  Interesting thing happened on the way to the play; we witnessed a high-speed chase involving a motorcyclist and over half a dozen law enforcement vehicles.  Quite the start to our adventure!  But we made it to the play safe and sound and found great parking thanks to a very kind officer who was super friendly and answered our questions about parking (we decided that being three not-too-terrible looking girls helped our cause :-D ).  Anyway, on to the play.  This year Angie was in the play Much Ado About Nothing (a personal favorite!) and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the show.  Even though I did have to buy ice cream due to a lost bet ;-).

Returned home tired but happy.  Read for awhile before going to bed.  Enjoying a book by Jan Karon right now, as well as a birthday gift book for my quiet time.  Can't believe there's only one more day left before I have to return to the Thrill :-P.
