Spent the day shopping with Mom, Rita, and Daniel. We found lots of great deals, and I managed to limit my personal spending pretty much to things I needed. I was especially excited to get the rest of my birthday gift from Mom and Dad, which grew in magnitude because the prices were just so good! Instead of one lightweight jacket, I was able to get two, one more dressy and the other more casual, plus a new necklace that will go perfectly with one of my favorite tops! Hooray! I also was able to get 3 new pairs of sandals; 1 casual/walking pair in black, 1 pair of white, and 1 other pair of black. Since my sandals from the last couple of summers have had a long and difficult life of much wear and tear, I was very excited to find some replacements!

After we returned from the shopping excursion, we quickly prepared salads for dinner before heading to game night at church (held every last Friday night of the month). The highlight of the evening for me, though, was DEFINITELY the opportunity to hold baby Elijah Farmer. He is SOOO adorable! And cuddly! And adorable! And cuddly! (okay, okay, I made my point and I'll stop now =D)
(PS this picture is shamelessly re-posted from his mom's facebook page. Note the booties made by my amazing sister Rita....)
