June 15, 10:30 am, Hotel Locando Orchidea
Well, since our alarm clock broke in transit from Rome, we woke up much later than expected today. However, it was nice to get some extra sleep in. After heading to a nearby shop for breakfast, we embarked on the Great Internet Hunt (see next time block).
June 15, 11:30-1:30 pm Great Internet Hunt
Although our hotel offers WiFi connections, since neither of us brought a computer or smart device with us, it is practically useless. We did search some yesterday for an internet point where you could pay to use the computer, but it took an additional 2 hours of searching today before we finally found one. We did do some shopping along the way that was fun, though, so it wasn't entirely wasted time. Fortunately, the rates here are much more reasonable than we expected. I sat here for about an hour after Alfred was finished online while he went to see a church nearby and worked on blogging, chatting with friends, and recharging my social batteries.
June 15, 3:00 pm, Il Duomo
We visited Il Duomo cathedral after grabbing a sandwich for lunch. It was pretty incredibly huge inside, and I loved seeing the arched ceilings. We also saw a 24 hour clock that was pretty cool, and a "fresco of a tapestry of a statue of a knight on a horse" (long story...feel free to ask me about it, and I have a picture I can show you too!)

Definitely enjoying some down time, and writing a gadzillion (okay, more like around 20) postcards to friends and family!
