Joys of teaching

Had the joy of dealing with a name-calling situation at school.  I hate when children say hurtful things to one another.  I especially hate when it escalates.  I also hate when it happens in another classroom, with a substitute, so that then I have to deal with the repercussions thereof when students go home and complain to their parents about what happened.  Joys of being a teacher...
