Midweek Mania

Kind of a crazy day today.  Middle day of the school week, and the students were tired of being cooped inside by the rain the past two days.  However, the ground was still soggy so we were unable to go outside for recess.  Their antsy behavior made teaching "fun."

Our administrator was at a meeting, and I was supposed to help get the PA system set up for dismissal, but an IEP meeting ran long during our planning, so I was running around school like a chicken with my head chopped off trying to get the key to get in the office to get the sound system to set up in the gym.  Crazy!!!  Fortunately, dismissal was still finished in a fairly reasonable amount of time.

Our staff meeting was postponed, so I was able to head home instead of sticking around campus.  It was nice to have that break in between school and Journey Group.  I definitely enjoyed seeing everyone at JG, though.  We had a little smaller crowd than usual, but it was nice to get to talk with everyone.  I also had the joy of playing with Kadin during the study so that he stayed quiet and less of a distraction.  We crawled all over the floor, walked and bounced around, played with a plastic cup...all kinds of fun things!  It was good, but also just another aspect of my crazy day!
