Take that, Allergies!

Today's lesson is entitled: "How to be productive with Allergies 101."  It is a fool-proof (well, maybe) 12-step program to productivity with (relatively less) pain (than there otherwise could be).

Here's how:

Step 1: Take Zyrtec before work.
Step 2: Go to work and drink lots of water to avoid going hoarse.
Step 3: Ignore the sinus headache that starts slightly after lunch.
Step 4: Run around outside finding kids and getting them to cars for dismissal, still ignoring headache
Step 5: Go home with a pounding head and eat something
Step 6: Take 1 ibuprofen, 1 4 hr decongestant, 1 claritin
Step 7: Put a load of laundry in the wash and then lie down to rest a little.
Step 8: Realize that resting isn't helping much, go and clean your bathroom. And your bedroom. And switch and fold your laundry while you do it.
Step 9: Take a shower.  Luxuriate in it.  Ignore the fact that when you blew your nose it was disgusting.  Instead focus on shaving your legs so that they feel smooth and you feel clean when you get out of the shower.
Step 10:  Write a blog post.  Drink more water.
Step 11: Go scrub the glass cooktop in preparation for housewarming party on Saturday.
Step 12: Write another blog post.  Think about how you should probably go take another decongestant, and then TAKE IT!

(Note to self: do not neglect end of step 12!)
